CTSI Monthly Meeting with Congressman Joe Courtney @ First Congregational Church Guilford

Connecticut Shoreline Indivisible will hold its October monthly meeting on Saturday the 26th.  The featured speaker from 10:00-11:00 a.m. will be U.S. Representative Joe Courtney from Connecticut’s Second Congressional District who serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Education and Labor Committee, and is the Co-chair of the Congressional Ship Building and Primary Care Caucuses.  At 11:00 a.m. the group will break up into Team Meeting on the topics of Immigration, Environment, and Legislative/GOTV.  All are welcome to attend!

Congressman Joe Courtney will be kicking off the MDTC canvassing event on Saturday, October 26th at 1:00 p.m.  Please join us at the home of Paul Kessinger and then go knock on some doors!  Please park in Paul’s driveway, the 287 driveway (next door), or the lot on the west side of the mansion.

Note that the event this year has been postponed to Friday, November 1 due to the weather forecast for October 31.

Phone Banking for Peggy for First @ Home of John-Michael Parker

John-Michael Parker is hosting a phone banking party at his home from 6-9 PM on Friday, November 1 (after Trunk-or-Treat).  Come make phone calls with fellow supporters or grab a list to take home for weekend calls.  Peggy needs your help in getting her message out to Madison voters!

Sen. Christine Cohen Community Conversation: Crackdown on Robocalls @ Nathaniel B. Greene Community Center

Join State Senator Christine Cohen. Attorney General William Tong, and Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner Arunan Arulampalam on Wednesdy, November 13 for an important discussion on ways to avoid falling victim to a robocall, how to report a spam call, and measures the Office of the Attorney General and state legislature are taking to address the issue.

Sen. Cohen and Attorney General Tong will be joined by representatives from the Connecticut better Business Bureau, Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, and the Alliance for Retired Americans.
