Madison’s slate of Democratic candidates is a remarkable group of individuals with a depth and breadth of experience that will be indispensable to the Town. Al Goldberg and Scott Murphy are a proven and effective team on the Board of Selectmen that will continue to fight for transparency and progress in Town government. Judith Hession Friedman’s record of public service and professional skills will be a tremendous new asset to the Board of Finance. And Board of Education candidates Alison Keating, Matt Parthasarthy and Emily Rosenthal will be strong champions for Madison’s great school system as it enters into a period of change.
There is much uncertainty at the federal, state and local levels of government. The people of Madison require a team of leaders that will navigate the Town through this rough time without hesitation and ambiguity, with honesty, openness and integrity. Al, Scott, Judith, Alison, Matt and Emily are that team.
We are living in a time of great division in our country, where people highlight differences instead of looking for common ground. The only way to turn the tide is to elect leaders that will unite and it needs to start at the local level. Al, Scott, Judith, Alison, Matt and Emily will work to bring people together to find common ground on the complex challenges that Madison will face in the coming years. They will work tirelessly for all of Madison. That is why I am proud to endorse the slate of Democrats and urge all Madison residents to vote for them on November 7th.
