VOTE in the August 14th Primary: Exercise your right as a registered Democrat to pick the best, most electable candidates for the fall ticket! The Democratic Primary is being held on August 14th and we need Democrats to turn out in strength to prove we are energized to win in November. Absentee ballots for the August 14 Primary will be available beginning Tuesday, July 24. Please visit the Madison Town Clerk website for more information. Major party changes must be made 90 days in advance, so if you are a registered Republican, the deadline has passed to register as a Democrat to vote in the primary. However, if you are currently registered as an unaffiliated voter and would like vote as a Democrat in the primary, you can enroll via mail by August 9th, or you can do it in person at Madison Town Campus with the Registrar of Voters until noon on August 13th.
The Madison Democratic Town Committee has moved its regular August meeting to Monday, August 20. The meeting will be held at the usual time of 7:00 pm and the usual place in the Hammonasset Room at Madison Town Campus. The fall campaign and 2018 elections will be at the top of our agenda!
The Shoreline League of Democratic Women will be hosting its Annual Campaign Season Kick-off Event on Friday, September 21 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Pavilion at Saybrook Point. Come mingle with state and local Democratic politicians and candidates. All Valley-Shoreline Democratic women and guests are welcome to attend this free networking event. Bring a friend! Refreshments are served.
